OUR SCHOOL IN POSKWITÓW

What and how we teach:
Our school is friendly, fair but also challenging and safe. We put high demands on our students but they are tailored to their abilities. Gifted pupil is treated individually as well as a student who has difficulties or a student who is disabled. Our school is distinguished by a family atmosphere and friendly dialogue between students, teachers, parents, symbolized by the common tradition of the Christmas table - students, teachers, parents and local authorities.
Our successes:
Our students have won many competitions, municipal, county, provincial and even international. We are leaders especially in art competitions, environmental, biblical knowledge and recitation. We achieve the highest test scores in the municipality of sixth grade students. For many years, there has not been any single student repeating a class.

Poskwitów is a village in Poland, located in the Malopolska province, just 17 kilometres from Krakow and in the municipality Iwanowice.
Poskwitów is a village located in the region of jura krakowsko-częstochowska. The inhabitants are mainly engaged in agriculture, but there is also the fish-processing plant KRAK-MARFISH (managed by Marek Piekara) which is planning to produce salted and marinated herring.

Gifted pupil is treated individually as well as a student who has difficulties or a student who is disabled. Our school is distinguished by a family atmosphere and friendly dialogue between students, teachers, parents, symbolized by the common tradition of the Christmas table - students, teachers, parents and local authorities.
Participation of our school in the program "School of Dreams" is a continuation of the two previously completed projects: "Give Yourself a Chance" and "Equal Opportunities" in 2002. "Smithy Young Talent" the program which main aim is to equalize educational opportunities in rural areas, within the framework of the program called "Janko Musician" (Janko Muzykant).
We possess the certificate “School with Class”.
Our school offer to its students numerous circles of interest, additional tasks, preparation of papers, publication of students’ work in the local press, the project work, activities for juniors. We organize competitions for the stage school and community, prepare students for extracurricular competitions. We present the work of students on roll and school newsletters. For students with difficulties we organize rehabilitation, remedial classes in classes I-III. We also adjust the division of hours to the psycho-physical needs of children.

Teachers use educational multimedia programs. Our graduates achieve very good results in high schools.
Cooperation with neighboring institutions goes very good, e.g. in different schools are organized municipal contests. In order to further training and integration of the teaching profession, training meetings are conducted.
Cooperation with institutions consists of help in carrying out and co-financing events, expert advice and consultation in the work of a student with disabilities and students who have difficulties in learning. We organize big events for the local environment such as Christmas meeting, carnival party, May festivals, the feast of the school – all of them involve the local community. We are the center of cultural life in our village and the surrounding countryside.
